To get support for mcShoutCast you have the follwing options:

The Shark007 Codec Pack is very popular but using it with its default settings will not allow you to listen to any streamed music.

Here are the settings you need to change in order to listen to the mcShoutCast internet radio stations.
These settings are taken from the following component versions: Win7codecs_v237 und x64Components_v241.

1. Open the settings dialog, navigate to the "Config" page and click on the button titled "FFDshow Audio config"

2. Choose the option page for "Codecs" (from the list at the left):

• Switch the decoder for the format "MP3" to "libmad".
• Switch the decoder for the format "AAC" to "libfaad2".

 

3. Navigate to the page "SWAP". At the top right side of the dialog the following options need to be disabled:

• Make sure the option "Use FDDshow for MP2/3 instead of Microsoft" is not checked
  
• Make sure the option "StandAlone MP3 splitter" is not checked.
